For the math nerd in you, here is a beaded version of the hyperbolic tiling Rhombitetrahexagonal tiling. Although it may look like a ruffled mess, it actually has a lot of structure in the way the beads are woven together. For example, see the green stripes. You really have to hold it and play with it to fully appreciate the patterns within it. I made this beaded sculpture by weaving glass beads together with a needle and thread. It is very flexible and can be folded and posed to sit in many different positions. It is an educational model. It's also art. It's pretty small, so you can put it on your computer to play with while you contemplate what you will do on Friday night. If you like to wear brooches, add a stick pin and wear it like a flower boutineer. As far as I know, it's the only one like it.
